NACT Puts PBX In Your PalmAt the recent IT EXPO show in Miami, NACT announced the development of its new VinciPBX series of multitenant PBXs that can be purchased standalone or in the cloud, says the company. The 30-year-old NACT, which has primarily been in the business of producing prepaid switching systems and carrier switches, started R&D on a number of products in 2014 that will eventually become a full PBX line. Up first, NACT is finalizing a small desktop, telephonesized PBX, called the Vinci Mini PBX, that will be an on premises device and can handle up to 150 phone calls. NACT also is working on the mouse-sized Vinci Micro PBX that will support up to 50 concurrent calls and literally fits in the palm of your hand. And yes, the micro-PBX comes with the full feature set found on the 150-seat model, including personalized greetings and directory tree and customizable, automated IVR. The VinciPBX can be combined with NACT’s VinciSoft softswitch, providing a highly scalable solution. And it is not restricted to the use of a handset. VinciPBX can be interconnected with PC, Mac, iPhone or Android softphone clients so employees can make business calls from anywhere. NACT’s VinciPBX comes in two variations: Multi-Tenant and Standalone. The Multi-Tenant option allows multiple instance of a PBX within the system, all with different greeting and different subsidiaries. “NACT is making a full commitment to the PBX marketplac eand intends to become a major player in this space as it has already become in other areas of telecom,” said Eric Goodstein, director of sales, NACT Solutions The VinciPBXs platform is built upon the Freeswitch engine, a highly scalable, carrier-grade switching platform. The full product line is expected to be ready by the end of the second quarter of this year. From ChannelVision Magazine, March/April 2014 |
