Prompts FAQ
- How do I order a customized voice prompt?
- First, download and fill out an order form from this site, with your contact and credit card information. Then provide the text exactly as you would like it to be recorded. Finally, send the order form as an email attachment or fax. The email address and fax number are indicated on the order form.
- What does "same language/same session" mean as mentioned on the price list?
- In order to achieve cheaper "same session" pricing, you need to order all prompts in the same language at the same time. Any additional prompt ordered at a different time or in a different language is considered part of a separate recording session and garners full pricing.
- If I need a prompt in a foreign language, do I have to translate it?
- No. You are not required to provide your own translation, however you are free to do so. NACT employs professional translators for this purpose who also verify all provided translations and make any necessary corrections before proceeding with the recording.
- If I want to send a recording to be digitized in what format should it be?
- Most of our customers send recordings by e-mail in a .wav file. However, you can send a recording on a tape or CD as long as it is 16 beat linear.
- How long will it take to have our prompt(s) loaded on our switch?
- It takes between 3-5 business days for a regular order or 1-2 days for a rush order. See price list for details.
- Can I order prompts in a language that NACT does not support?
- Yes. NACT technicians will load those prompts in the table of the language that shares the same grammatical structure. For example, messages in Czech can be loaded in the Polish or Russian table. As long as the balance is not played, the prompts will sound fine.
- Can I use my own voice talent?
- Yes. If you would like to use a specific voice, simply record your prompt(s) and send them to NACT as a .wav file. NACT can then digitize the file for you.
